Superfoods are incredibly nutrient-rich and offer a wide variety of essential micronutrients in high quantities. They are packed with antioxidants, polyphenols and a variety of vitamins and minerals.
All superfoods have different nutritional profiles, but combined with a healthy diet they help our bodies maintain a healthy balance.

SPIRULINA POWDER
Spirulina is a natural, blue-green algae that harnesses energy from sunlight to fuel its growth. As one of the most protein-dense plant foods available and a rich source of micronutrients, it really is one of the world’s best, and original, superfoods. Cultivated and harvested in pure, freshwater pools, this minimally processed spirulina is dried into a naturally nutritious powder. May contain naturally occuring sulphites.

ACAI BERRY POWDER
Acai berry is a small purple fruit native to the Amazon rainforest. This acai is typically wild-harvested by cooperatives in South America and Green Origins has chosen the Euterpe Precatoria variety due to its higher antioxidant count and lower fat level than standard acai (Euterpe Oleracea). In fact, this type of acai berry has one of the highest ORAC values (Oxygen Radical Absorption Capacity) of any food.

BOABOB POWDER
Baobab is a nutritious fruit with a citrusy flavour that grows on the African 'Tree of Life'. Green Origins sources their baobab from a producer with a vision for conservation. They employ over 1000 women from local communities in Southern Africa who make an income from harvesting the baobab fruit; providing sustainable livelihoods for hundreds of households. The baobab fruit is minimally processed; the seeds are removed and the fruit is simply sieved to create a natural powder.

CACAO NIBS
Cacao is best known as the main ingredient in chocolate. Many people enjoy cacao nibs when they crave a natural chocolate treat. Grown in South America, the cacao beans are fermented to enhance their rich flavour and then broken into small pieces, known as nibs – a natural alternative to chocolate chips!
